Art installation exhibition ‘Bomb’ opening next week
The art installation “Bomb” by Pham Van Truong is opening the 24th of March at the Vietart Centre in Hanoi. The exhibition focuses on the effects wars have had on the Vietnamese people. Surrounded by broken glasses in large scale, red paint on glass surfaces and loud noises of explosions in the exhibition hall, viewers experience the feeling of being in bomb craters. Aquaculture Adaptation to Climate Change: Urgent Action Needed
A workshop on climate change called for urgent action to develop a climate change adaptation action plan for aquaculture and capture fisheries. There is a need to scale back on the tonnage and to focus more on quality and diversification of aquaculture. More climate change studies for the fisheries sector will be supported by Danida in the future. (March 17, 2010)
Solutions for cultural barriers in Danish and Vietnamese partnerships
Exciting annual Business to Business (B2B) partnerships gatherings were organised in Hanoi and HCMC last week with active participation of more than 100 managerial entrepreneurs from on-going and new partnerships between Danish and Vietnamese companies as well as consultants of the B2B programme. Denmark pledges DKK 4.8 million to Mekong River Commission to address climate change
A new Danish grant to MRC Climate Change and Adaptation Initiative (CCAI) for period of 2010 - 2015 will enable the MRC to develop and implement adaptation strategies to deal with the consequences across the basin of climate risks. (March 15, 2010)

eSoftflow receives additional B2B programme support
During the last few years the joint venture eSoftflow has built a successful business with around 90 full time jobs. With the final Business to Business (B2B) grant of DKK 853,000 from the Danish Embassy, eSoftflow will further develop the staff capacity and continue improving the working conditions. Successful research cooperation between Vietnam and Denmark
The pilot research cooperation programme between Vietnam and Denmark, which has been running since 2008, held its first annual meeting on 4 March. Vietnamese researchers, the Danish delegation, and representatives from MOST agreed that results so far are promising. (March 5, 2010)
