With a sixteen-fold increase in fishery exports since the 1990’s, Vietnam now ranks among the top ten seafood exporters in the world. Danish support aims at establishing a unified image or quality mark to help Vietnamese exporters defend their position on the international market.

Electric window actuators will soon be produced in Vietnam
A grant of DKK 562,000 has been approved by the Danish Embassy to enable the Danish company PHJ Glas & Klima A/S and a Vietnamese partner Duy Khanh Engineering Co., Ltd to produce prototypes of window actuators and determine a long-term cooperation.

Judges return to Vietnam with new knowledge of International Commercial Law and Dispute Resolution
At the end of October 2008 a delegation of 17 Judges from the Supreme People’s Court and Provincial Courts of Vietnam participated in a two-week course in Australia. The course was funded by Danida and aimed to strengthen the judge’s capacity to resolve commercial disputes, especially of an international nature, and not least build their knowledge of international commercial law.

Competition for Vietnamese press regarding HIV/AIDS stories
For the first time, national prizes for Vietnamese press writing about HIV/AIDS funded by Danida were launched. A prize announcement ceremony of the competition ‘Vietnamese Journalists with HIV/AIDS prevention and control’ was held in Hanoi on 6th of December 2008.
