Marketing assistance to traditional fish-sauce (‘nuoc mam’) producers
Technical assistance and training has been provided by Danida funded Fisheries Sector Programme Support (FSSPII) to develop brand-names and improve marketing for small-scale traditional fish-sauce producers in Quang Ninh and Nghe An provinces. (December 21, 2009)

Milestones reached in Mekong River Commission

Hydropower, climate change, fisheries and flood management are all critical elements of trans-boundary river management, and was the topic of discussion as ministers and officials from the four Mekong Basin countries met in Hua Hin on 26 & 27 November.

Strengthening Vietnam’s business environment
Vietnam should further open key industries in order to improve Vietnam’s competitiveness. Eurocham has published its annual Whitebook with recommendations for the Vietnamese Government to improve the business climate.  (December 15, 2009)
Denmark in Vietnam
A record amount of Danish companies recently visited Vietnam together with the Danish Royal Family. This paves the way for increased export and trade between Vietnam and Denmark. With the Danish Government’s new export package the future will see even more Danish export promotions abroad. (December 14, 2009)

This statement is neither new nor striking but still we need to remind ourselves of this during our support to Vietnam for poverty reduction.

Did Martin Hansen sell drugs in a discoteque?
This question was thoroughly investigated during a mock court hearing as part of a seminar on ‘Adversarial Court Procedures in Practice’. Judges, lawyers, prosecutors, and support staff from judicial institutions took an active part in the role plays and acted so well that the audience almost forgot that ‘Mr. Martin Hansen’ was not a real person but a character invented for the occasion.
